Downhill is a race discipline that is typically run on steep and rugged trails, featuring a mix of natural obstacles like rocks, roots, and drop-offs, alongside man-made features such as jumps, berms, and rock gardens. Riders start from the top and are timed from start to finish on a single track, and the goal is to complete the course in the shortest time.

The development weekend is designed to improve your confidence and skill to navigate a downhill race track comfortably. It will also provide opportunity for those wanting to work on their technical skills and dial in line choices. Unlike cross-country or enduro, downhill races are about the descent, with shuttles provided for the uplift – so no climbs this weekend. Whilst we mention jumps and drops there are signed b-lines at all non roll-able features so you can ride to your skill level and comfort.

This weekend is not a race, but is designed to simulate a downhill schedule and format. You can participate in as much or little as you feel comfortable.
